    titan: body and guns

The body was fairly fiddly to fit together.

There were the bits that make up the techpriest's compartment, pictured to the side, as well as the various roofs, extractor fans, and the wings of the titan themselves

Serious guns these: longer than a pair of leman russes, with chasis the size of a land raider. And also very difficult to glue into place.

Gluing struck me as quite a problem as I fitted all these pieces together, which fit together fairly well enough. The guns come mainly in one piece, and have a ball and socket joint that slings them under the ‘wings’ of the titan body.

Before I fitted it all together I painted all the insides: which I’ve looked at under interior details.

One of the pleasures of something this big is getting to swivel the guns and the head to look and point at the enemy.

I used large rare earth magnets and drilled out both the socket of the gun and the ball joint that is under slung from the body and filled them with stacks of magnets - enough to hold the guns in place.
